Cadet Youth Development Centre
The Cadet Youth Development Centre located in Breslau, Ontario, is on a mission to inspire tomorrow’s leaders. Cadets and youth aged 12-18 years build teamwork, leadership and resource management skills while experiencing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) principles in action. More than 300 young people participate in the non-profit’s programming each year.
TRC Simulators is a Netherlands based company that is specialized in the development of affordable and realistic aviation training devices (ATD’s). Customers vary from educational, professional, hobby to military. TRC Simulators has exported its products to over 70 countries over the course of the last years. Training on TRC’s devices is so realistic that you can hardly tell the difference between the sim and the actual aircraft.
Ryan Aerospace Australia
More and more flight training schools and clubs are turning to simulators approved for logging flight hours to bring costs down while still providing a realistic training environment. The companies that provide simulators for flight training are required to complete a thorough evaluation process in order to obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) or European Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) qualification of their training devices.
National Flight Academy
For kids studying geometry and physics in school, fun might not be the first word that comes to their minds. The National Flight Academy is changing that perception through hands-on learning experiences that make science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curriculum relevant and exciting.
A.C.E.S. Flight Simulation
A smart-phone and a simulator the size of a car are certainly at opposite ends of the spectrum, both in terms of fidelity and cost. To address the gap in the middle, Lockheed Martin and A.C.E.S. have partnered to develop a medium-fidelity training capability that is affordable, effective and complementary to existing programs.
Multi-Function Training Aid
Lockheed Martin’s MFTA represents a new generation of training – a quickly reconfigurable platform easily adapted to support a wide range of warfighting vehicle systems, including fixed-wing multi-crew aircraft, helicopters, landing hover craft, fast attack boats, trucks and utility vehicles.
